He just wanted her to know that, it’s not wrong for her to either feel nothing or feel like everything is falling apart, its okay if the pieces of the puzzle are just scattered. He knew how brave she is, how she always stands by what her heart says is right, and those things, little or big, made her who she is.

He couldn’t even imagine how big a fight she had been fighting constantly inside and outside, and yet he found her strength completely adorable. The way she always rose like a phoenix from nothingness, was what he admired about her. And he just couldn’t stop acknowledging every single time she did that, how much he loved her, and how that love could never be tangible, for him to express, and even if it could, it still wouldn’t be enough.

He had been reading her all through the time he had been around, and off late he found in her a longing to find again the light, yearning to gain the strength she thought she had lost in an abyss. He just wanted to hold her and let her know, that she will find that light and will again shine bright like the glowing star in the moonlit sky, living graciously and moving ahead one step at a time.

She might be in an abyss but from where he was looking, she had never been that clear before, and he had the faith that it was about time she realised that she was fierce like the fire and that fire isn’t gonna burn ever.

She knew he had been reading her, and what made her restless was that he was quietly observing her, without shredding slightest of the clue of what had been on his mind. She was oblivious of the fact that he was preparing to make her feel loved and special, sweeping her off her feet, by the magical gestures of love.

His love had always been one of a kind, never pompous, always silent, just for her to know, just for her to feel. It was always his way of making every single thing about her, just like making her his centre of gravity, just like he was the fulcrum around which her life moved. He spoke with those pair of his eyes, and no amount of words could reassure her, but that simple peek into his eyes, meant the world to her.

He knew her like the back of his hand, more than she could ever know herself, and it was always his faith in her that made her grow, and become the person she is, it was his love, that was the manure, and his heart the ground on which she grew.

He was the light she was looking for all this time, and yes, it was about time she realised that the light that she had been searching for, had always been by her side all along.

Shining hope !

marta-pawlik-14356-unsplash.jpg

When I am scared,

I close my eyes,

to look into your eyes

and i see hope.

hope of reaching to the brighter side

when all this darkness end.

When the brain gives up,

my heart is warmed

by those sparkling eyes,

which speaks to me of the strength,

the strength, i need, to traverse in the times of lone-battles

and that’s when I realise, the struggle might be lonely

but i’m not,

with those eyes shining

and lips smiling,

always having a companion beside me

just a blink away.

Alter ego !

Laying down on the ground,

in the darkest hour of night.

while the winds too are asleep,

I mourn the loss,

loss of a dream.

I gaze at the sky above me,

jewelled with twinkling stars,

bringing life to the lifeless.

And the moon,

never in solitary,

even on the days, when,

it chooses to remain concealed,

they wait for it patiently,

to re-appear,

Just so they remain,

the perfect companions.

of all times.

Its surreal,

soothing my wounded heart,

for it secretly finds the company,

of the shining light of the night sky,

shedding radiance on its darkness,

guarding it with a beautiful,

white light of hope.

Triumph !

jon-tyson-232630-unsplash.jpg

I think not of sleep,

I think not of pain,

I think not of ordeals,

not anymore.

I think of my purpose,

I think of my destination,

I think of the hard-work.

They say pressure,

turns coal to diamond.

I think of the stress,

in whose aftermath,

the brightness illuminating,

all the darkness.

A story triumphant enough,

that will be written,

by the pen dipped in,

the ink of perseverance.

Wildflower !

They see a wildflower,

not for its beauty,

but its thorns,

as in humans it is,

manifesting life,

for all that is bad,

rather finding the good in it.

For despite the difficulties,

it face;

being uncultivated,

tendered by no one,

blooms, in the end,

glows of hope,

shines with aftermath of pain,

and speaks of survival,

screaming loudly of a message;

A message so evident,

gratitude in the brighter days,

and hope in the darker ones,

for the human race,

to remember,

for the times to come.

Engraved !

annie-spratt-467871-unsplash.jpg

Last night

you whispered in my ears

a combination of few letters,

words that made my spirit steer.

Sleep deprived that they are;

my eyes,

slept like a child,

after a time, which can’t be quantified.

The first light of the day struck,

my eyes opened,

only then it was,

I realised,

the power of a dream,

or it is your impact,

can tell who

cause in my sleep too,

as in the reality

your presence never fade,

engraved deep in my heart,

is your name,

is your love.

Fire within !

May sunshine and flowerscolor your day..jpg

Tables turn

when least expected

and;

what once seemed cause of despair,

becomes the cause of hope.

protecting from the demons inside,

shielding against the hardships outside,

And in that moment;

that burning fire,

of hope

turns deadly,

Aiming for nothing,

but achieving against all odds,

making you glow & shine

like the brightest star in the galaxy

making you a fable,

for the whole world to remember !

DECIPHERING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KNOWING SOMEONE AND KNOWING ABOUT SOMEONE.

Shutterbug Sayings

I have been pondering on this thought from quite some time now. And I have observed a lot, observed situations, observed people, observed myself and various reactions well in the process. What I concluded after all the contemplation is that knowing about someone is not exactly knowing the person. Yes, knowing about them may be a process to know them better but it definitely isn’t the same. And what is worth mentioning here is that the process starts with knowing about the person which is mostly indirect through sources and by the time we reach up-to knowing the person for real we already have made our selves biased for or against with  the judgements in our head for them.

When we try to know about someone we reduce the person to an identity like he plays tennis well, or she is a writer, or she paints well, or whatever the person is good or for that matter bad at, or things we have heard about them. It’s a detached and dispassionate way of learning. Now the judgement making process starts in our head relative to the commonalities we share with the person, and in those materialistic ways we either get inclined towards or away from the person developing a bias.

What in reality takes an effort is, getting under the skin of someone, to know them in reality of who they are. It gives us an opportunity to transition from a world of our own and moving into the world of someone else. To look at the world through their prism of context. Undertaking that road, teaches us the most noble virtue of empathy. It gives the space where a true relationship can thrive. Yes, it is a tough path to lead on because on the way we may have to encounter with not so beautiful dimensions of the person, their vulnerabilities, the blemishes and dark places. However, in the end all this will develop a comfortable house built on understanding and sharing. And I believe that nothing can be more beautiful than knowing someone, knowing what’s deep and buried in them, knowing what makes them happy, what makes them sad, their likes and dislikes, their dreams, their spiritual self, what makes them cry or angry, their coping mechanism and the list is endless.

Interestingly, during the course of all of this, we realise that we become a part of their existence, their story as they have become a part of ours. Its like meeting a stranger we’ve known all our lives. And in that brief moment we fall in love with that person, or develop a connection which is inexplicable. Therefore it is so much better to know the person for real than to just know about them and be judgemental. Because we cannot know one’s reality before knowing their perception of that reality, and until then drawing any conclusion in my opinion is anything but fair.

Just for a moment lets think that every human lives in a different world, having different experiences, different realities and different perceptions. If reality is different for each one of us then is it right to talk about singular reality? Or do we have a potential of existence of plurality of realities. If so, how do we explain our realities to others and understand that of others? Failing this don’t you think we will all be in a terrible yet constant state of perplexity, bewilderment and confusion? The only possible solution I can derive of this situation is to be aware of each other and each other’s version of reality, and that takes a great deal of patience, understanding and fortitude. That’s in my view the secret to happiness in life in general and in relationships in particular.

“All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart.”
